Wire Ties with Labels
All evidence needs to be tagged or labeled. In some cases, such as electronics equipment and computer components, you don't want to damage or mark them up. One way to prevent this is to use a wire tie with label attached to it. The write-on area is approximately 1" x 1 ½" in size. On the tie, you can write the appropriate item number, date and officer's initials as required by your department.
These write-on wire ties can be purchased from Mr. Bulky's at your local mall or a store that handles bulk candy. They come in a box with 1000 labels for approximately $15.00.
