Embroidery Hoop
Have you ever had a problem in developing a latent print that you want to photograph and lift on either a plastic trash bag or ziplock bag? The plastic will wrinkle and not lay flat to photograph. It could be hard to place the tape on the plastic without getting wrinkles in the plastic. One solution is to use an embroidery hoop 4" to 5" in diameter. Take the embroidery hoop apart and place the plastic on top of the inside ring of the embroidery hoop with the latent print in the center. Place the outer ring of the embroidery hoop over the plastic and push it down. This will stretch out the plastic tight with the latent print in the center. You can now photograph and lift the latent print with ease.
The embroidery hoop can be purchased at any craft or sewing store for approximately $.50 to $.75 each.
